Roth IRAs are individual retirement plans that are not tax-deductible on your Federal Income Tax; however, if you qualify you do not pay taxes on the withdrawals.   Additional, unlike a traditional IRA, you can continue to make contributions into a Roth IRA after the age 701/2 and you can leave the money in the Roth IRA as long as you live.

  • The withdrawal Is made on or after 591/2 year of age

Not everyone can contribute into a Roth IRA, there are limitations based upon your adjusted gross income.  However, your contribution limit maybe be limited if your adjusted gross income (AGI) is above a certain amounts.  The AGI contribution phase-out range for a Roth IRA can be viewed on the IRA limits sheet.
